The Bachelor in Industrial Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Program Criteria for Industrial and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.

Mission

The Professional School of Industrial Engineering trains professionals characterized by their leadership, autonomy, innovative and entrepreneurial spirit in the fields of Operations and Supply Chain, Project Management, Production Process Improvement and Planning and Operations Planning and Management, for their preparation with a solid scientific, technical and humanistic base; aspects that make them globally competitive in research and in the permanent search for better technological solutions, which are economically viable and socially responsible for the benefit of the country.

Vision

By the year 2024, the Professional School of Industrial Engineering will achieve a high position in society in the areas of Operations and Supply Chain, Project Management, Production Process Improvement and Planning and Operations Planning and Management, due to the excellence of its faculty, students and graduates, in addition to the permanent practice of civic values and its national and international projection.

Educational Objectives of the Program

Within a few years after graduation, Ricardo Palma University Industrial Engineering graduates will:

EO1. Technical Competence

Demonstrate a solid technical competence for the planning and control of operations, design and improvement of processes, formulation and evaluation of projects, management of logistics operations, as well as the development of industrial automation processes.

EO2. Versatility and Adaptability

Work and interact at different levels of an engineering project, achieving productivity improvement and advancing in their field of professional development.

EO3. Communication and Teamwork

Develop attitudes of communication, integration and leadership in multidisciplinary work groups by participating as leaders or proactive members.

EO4. Professionalism

Develop their professional activities respecting the technical standards and code of ethics of the profession, with a meaningful and appropriate understanding of human values.

EO5. Lifelong learning

They develop continuous learning and training, assimilating changes and advances in the profession, completing specialization and postgraduate studies.

EO6. Entrepreneurship

Innovate products, processes and systems, improving their results and meeting the needs of stakeholders, or developing the company itself as a personal project.

Student Outcomes

An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
An ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
An ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
An ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
An ability to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
An ability to acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
An ability to plan and manage industrial engineering projects, taking into account quality, efficiency and productivity criteria.

Acreditación ICACIT

¿Quién es ICACIT?

Es una institución de calidad especializada en programas de Arquitectura, Computación, Ciencias, Ingeniería y Tecnología en Ingeniería.

Las instituciones que son miembros del Sistema ICACIT y sus programas se destacan por el trabajo que realizan para garantizar que sus graduados están listos para ejercer la profesión al concluir sus estudios.

¿Qué es un programa para ICACIT?

Es una experiencia educativa organizada e integrada que culmina con la obtención de un grado académico. El programa tendrá objetivos educacionales, resultados del estudiante, un plan de estudios, cuerpo de profesores e instalaciones.

ICACIT es la primera institución latinoamericana admitida como miembro del Washington Accord, un acuerdo entre las más prestigiosas agencias de acreditación de ingeniería en el mundo además es miembro provisional delSeoul Accord, Sydney Accord y miembro de European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education (ENAEE ), International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES) e International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies (INQAAHE).

Nuestra institución otorga La Acreditación ICACIT, que es una auditoría de cumplimiento de estándares internacionales del Washington Accord y el Sydney Accord del International Engineering Alliance, el Seoul Accord, el Canberra Accord y la European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education, adoptados por ICACIT, y se realiza a programas de pregrado y posgrado de instituciones educativas.

ICACIT está conformado por cinco sociedades profesionales y empresariales: Colegio de Ingenieros del Perú (CIP), Confederación Nacional de Instituciones Empresariales Privadas (CONFIEP), Asociación Peruana de Desarrolladores de Software (APESOF), Academia Peruana de Ingeniería (API) y Sección Perú del IEEE, que trabajan de la mano para mejorar la calidad de los profesionales de computación, ingeniería y tecnología en ingeniería con el propósito de satisfacer la demanda de profesionales calificados del país y del mundo.
